Tracking the Trace 01
This study explores the relationship between spatial position and visual perception through color mapping. Using color gradients overlayed on both the floor plan and the perspective drawing, it visualizes how perspective shifts as a person moves along a wall.
The gradient applied to the floor plan represents movement through space—its color indicating direction and position—while the same gradient is mirrored in the perspective drawing to correspond with the view from each location. Together, they create a synchronized visual system in which color serves as a bridge between physical movement and perceptual experience.
By aligning plan and perspective through a shared gradient, the work transforms architectural drawing into a dynamic record of spatial perception, illustrating how the experience of space evolves continuously through motion and viewpoint.
